MAKER CAMP
Our most popular class that started it all. How is Maker Camp different from Art Camp? Instead of just doing ‘art’, we focus more on making things, anything and everything! Although children will have the opportunity to get artistic with every project, we focus more on *making cool stuff*.
Maker camp is designed for children who love to create, tinker, and get crafty. Our projects will be fun and functional utilizing a variety of materials and crafting techniques. We will use our creativity to customize usable items. Some camp classics include mug making (sublimation), pillows (sewing), spare part robots (building), tie dye shirts, tote bags, storage crate painting, room sign making, and more!
Makers can expect to get hands on with personal projects as well as with group activities, games, and building challenges throughout the day.
LITTLE ARTISTS
Our “Little Artists” camp was created for those who are too young to take our popular “Maker Camp”. In this class children will be crafting simplified versions of our most popular projects. Our little artists will be drawing, painting, and customizing fun usable projects. Children should be prepared to get messy, work with a variety of materials, and learn new crafting techniques.
Campers will learn various techniques and styles and will create their own masterpieces using watercolors, acrylics, and more. Our craft projects will allow campers to experiment with different textures, shapes, and materials. We will create fun and colorful works of art using materials like clay, beads, feathers, pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, and more.
Throughout the day, campers will have the chance to showcase their creativity and imagination through fun games and activities, such as collaborative craft projects, games, and group craft and play activities.
PRINCESSES, UNICORNS,
& FAIRY TALES
An entire class dedicated to all things magical and brightly colored. If your child wants to be a Princess when they grow up or is currently a color connoisseur this is the class for them.
Together we will craft projects that are colorful, decorative, and functional using Princesses, Unicorns, and Fairy Tales as our inspiration. Children should expect to work with a variety of materials and learn new crafting techniques. We will be getting artistic with most crafts but art is not what defines us. As makers we will focus on creating items that you will enjoy using or displaying. Some projects may include: mugs, pillows, 3D model painting, wearable accessories, making room decor, Tie Dye, jewelry making, and so much more. Not recommended for those who dislike pink, purple, pink, yellow, other pink, teal, you get the picture.
Nintendo Week
New this year! Don’t miss out on our first ever Nintendo-inspired summer craft camp. Imagination meets creativity as we bring your favorite characters to life through our maker crafts and projects. Get ready and power up to embark on an adventure filled with crafting, fun, and friendship.
Throughout the camp, campers will not only create amazing Nintendo-themed crafts but also have the chance to participate in exciting games, challenges, and trivia inspired by their favorite games.
If you are ready to "Craft your own adventure" then come and "Jump into adventure" with us because this class is “on like Donkey Kong”.
Intro To Sewing
New this year! The time has finally come! Brought into existence by parent requests we are happy to present our first ever sewing camp. This class is perfect for those children who are eager to learn a useful and life changing hobby that can grow into an invaluable skill.
At Pretty Handy we are bringing sewing back with our own unique spin which everyone has come to know and love. Your young creators will embark on an exciting journey to learn the timeless art of sewing. Campers will learn through hands-on experience how versatile sewing can be. The week will begin with the basics which will walk children through planning, tracing, and cutting out patterns. We will then learn how our pieces go together as campers assemble them on a sewing machine.
If your child has an interest in making their own clothes, costumes, gifts, blankets, scrunchies, hats, stuffed animals, pillows, bags, and much much more then join this class. Don’t let sewing become a lost art.

Please note this class will be using sharp sewing scissors and operating a sewing machine. It is best suited for children who are able to focus on learning how to use such things safely.
Minecraft Mania
New this year! If you’re reading this then you already know what it is. Pretty Handy is bringing your favorite block-based game to life one brick at a time. This class is obviously perfect for that special crafty creator in the family.
This class was constructed for all the pixel pioneers out there that may consider themselves Creeper Crushers, Ender Explorers, Diamond Diggers, Nether Navigators, Obsidian Overlords, Blockbusters, or even Blockheads.
The crafts your child will make in this class may look “low-res” but we assure you they will be of the highest quality. So if you don’t want to be a “Creeper” you should definitely join this class. Keep calm and mine on!
Maker II
New this year! Inspired by our classic Maker camp that started it all, Pretty Handy is proud to present Maker II. Note that this class is our first ever class that requires a prerequisite. That’s right, we take our crafting seriously. Maker II will only be open to campers that have taken one of our previous camp sessions.
Our goal is to provide a new and exciting experience for those campers who have already completed one or more sessions of our maker camps and are interested in challenging themselves with new and slightly more difficult projects. In Maker II we will be taking on our coolest projects yet. This session will be using new techniques and materials that you are not likely to see offered anywhere else.
Although we never like leaving anyone out of the fun, we need to be selective for this class. Maker II will be more hands-on and the projects will require experience gathered from past Pretty Handy classes.
