Explore the world of illustration. What is illustration? How does it differ from fine art? Each day we will explore a different type of illustration. Students will get a chance to try children's book illustration, caricature, political cartoons, book cover, advertising, fashion, botanical, editorial, food illustration, hand lettering, etc. Students will also explore different mediums, composition styles and other techniques. The class will pick several projects to work on for the week and projects may change slightly based on student interest and ability. Light snacks and bottled water will be provided.
Age range is a reccomendation.
